I woke up this morning in Gjern – my first night sleeping in a hammock, and wow, what an experience. They call this place “Little America,” and I get it. The nature here feels vast, raw, and yet peaceful. There’s something wild and free about it.
I needed a moment to settle in. Meditation helped. Sitting by the fire with my morning coffee, I found myself wondering: Is this the struggle of life, or is this just life itself? The simplicity. The stillness. The realness. And I could feel it deep down: This is right. A calmness spread through my body.
After six months in Bali, coming back to Denmark is a massive shift. Life there was something else – warm, spiritual, colorful – and now I’m here, under Danish trees, on a new journey with my hammock, my Transalp, and everything I think I need.
But what do we really need?
The motorcycle is packed to the brim, and still, I’m sure I won’t need half of it. That’s part of the process – simplifying, adjusting, tuning in. What’s essential, and what’s just clutter?
This is my first blog post from the trip. A new adventure has officially begun. I’m excited to see what it brings – the challenges, the insights, and the beautiful, unexpected moments.
My Transalp and I – we’re on the road. The “Lighthouse Project” lies ahead. And this feels like exactly the right place to begin.
Follow the journey here on the blog – one campfire, one photo, and one step at a time.
